Salvatore Vasapolli

Star-studded speaker line-up at PhotoPlusExpo

Get ready to be dazzled (and informed) by some of the biggest names in photography. We're pretty stoked to announce the photographers who will be giving short presentations in the Moab booth (#750) during the upcoming PhotoPlusExpo show in NYC.

Like all things Moab, we are taking a slightly different approach to these presentation: We've simply asked the speakers to talk about themselves and their work - no sales pitch. Some will be conducting hands-on printing workshops while others will be providing an intimate discussion on their work. Harold Davis will even be giving away copies of his new book!

We're still hammering out the exact times, but the confirmed line up will include Andy Biggs, Barbara Bordnick, Harold Davis, Jody Dole, Robert Farber, Jim Graham, Ryszard Horowitz, Douglas Kirkland, Jim LaSala, Michael Soluri, Salvatore Vasapolli and Michael Zide.

As you can see, all the photographers are at the peak of their game, each having made a huge impact on the photo industry. Expect every presentation to be a keynote event.

Winter in Yellowstone

Moab Master, Salvatore Vasapolli, just announced his February 2013 workshop to Yellowstone National Park.

Yellowstone is the world's most famous park and winter is one of its most special times. The crowds are now gone, the wildlife subdued and the geysers are in their most splendid display.

Take a summer workshop with a Moab Master

In the upcoming summer workshops, Salvatore Vasapolli leads some of his most exciting workshops to some of the world's and America’s most exciting parks, such as Yosemite and Glacier National Parks with their high peaks, waterfalls and cliffs.

Acadia National Park is more diminutive, but its cliffs fall into the sea. Mono Lake of California may be the most bizarre with its Tufa’s and desert. And don't count out the rugged mountains and cliffs of the Delaware Water Gap in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with its natural beauty - only an hour from New York City or two hours from Philadelphia, PA.

Learn the best camera and composition techniques in all these magnificent locations under the guidance of Salvatore.

Capturing the Beauty of Yellowstone

Moab Master, Salvatore Vasapolli, can also be considered the photo master of Wyoming, with numerous books and calendars documenting the gorgeous landscape of this western state.

Salvatore's work in Yellowstone National Park is nothing short of stunning. [We selfishly hope the Entrada Rag paper he uses contributes to the magnificent images]

His recent article in Outdoor Photographer magazine details some of the reasons why Salvatore loves to photograph in Yellowstone, offering some tips as to the best times of the year to visit.
